Advanced Hydrotherapy Rehabilitation

Advanced Hydrotherapy RehabilitationAdvanced Hydrotherapy Rehabilitation

What is advanced hydrotherapy?

How will it help? What if my pet does not like water?

Hydrotherapy is a water based treatment, just like water aerobics. It reverses the effects of gravity on joints, giving a softer impact, reducing pain and so allows increased joint movement, increasing blood supply and nutrients to the body and flushing away waste. The underwater treadmill/pool, is salt water chlorinated and heated for patient comfort. This helps warm muscle and tissues to create increased blood flow and gives both relaxation and stimulation to the animals nerve and muscles.    Movement on the underwater treadmill causes muscles to extend and contract to therapeutic levels for your pet. Using guidance and assisted techniques, specific for your pets’ condition, we control movements, whilst also using the compound effect of resistance and buoyancy, plus the negative force of  gravity from being in the water.  We believe it is important to be working with your pets abilities, using best practice, plus the certified extensive knowledge of the therapist and special advanced aquatic treatment techniques in hydrotherapy. We adapt to your pets own breed biology, their specific needs and progress; setting each individual pet up to achieve the best outcome we can, giving a complete rewarding package of professional care.  At Anatomie we are qualified to undertake the treatments given, we find this is important while treating your pet, we are one of only a few in New Zealand to obtain advanced hydrotherapy certification(s). Pets either love or dislike water, here at Anatomie we plan and create a positive experience for your pet and can customise treatments to alleviate their fears (in or out of the water).

Physics is the study of laws and properties that govern the universe, such as energy, waves, force, mechanics, motion’.
